Our Vision
What does "qualification beyond the classroom" mean?
What changed?
Today, our examination system offers students few opportunities to demonstrate skills beyond memorising information and applying it at a theoretical level, completely abstracted from real-world contexts. Information is memorised, disconnected from its possible applications.

Throughout history, apprenticeships have been a valued means of acquiring trade skills. Increasingly, we see the adoption of a similar model in degree-apprenticeship programs today. This learning is embedded in real-world applications; theory is integrated with practice. The high uptake of this model is indicative of an increasing need for graduates to have experience. So-called "entry-level jobs" are inaccessible to graduates today, as in many fields, employers still require a basis of experience. How could KS4/5 qualifications offer students experience that puts them a step ahead?
